A day in a life of a VPPR

Toastmasters core values are integrity,  dedication to excellence, service to the member, and respect for the individual. I believe it should be  incorporated as  anchor points in every decision we make as a club and perhaps as individuals.

As club VPPR, Toastmasters has given me the opportunity to gain practical leadership experience to meet these core values, such as producing the club newsletter, which is the major responsibility of the VPPR.

How does a club newsletter help  achieve success?  The primary function of a club newsletter is to educate, motivate and inform its Toastmaster readers and anyone else reading the newsletter. Therefore it should always;

  • Include specific information to enable members to achieve their goals and become better speakers and leaders.
  • Set the tone for the club mission
  • Keep readers informed on a variety of topics to expand their enthusiasm and to encourage them to keep coming back to club meetings.

Leadership is a journey that includes a desire to serve others and a commitment to lead. If you plan ahead and set realistic goals you will not only achieve personal success but help your club members and fellow club leaders achieve their educational and/or leadership goals through Toastmasters. Strive to be trustworthy, self-aware, humble, caring, visionary, empowering, and relational.

    Nicely written Jeevan, We all need to make your life easier by submitting articles for you to publish. Your Nattas are thought out and constructed with a purpose. Doing brilliantly.

    Working together to reach a common goal is a lot easier than going at it alone. Thanks Michael for volunteering an article for the next Natta 🙂
